Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Louisiana

Transitional housing should be available throughout much of the state of Louisiana. A transition home will provide supportive and temporary housing for some segments of the homeless population. There are working homeless, who are unable to afford long-term housing. Despite affordable housing programs, it can still be difficult to afford a permanent place to live. Transition homes are a bridge between being homeless and staying at a shelter or on the street, to find affordable full-time housing. Some of the transition homes in the United States work with refugees and help families find permanent housing. The purpose of a transitional home is to ensure an individual or a family can have a safe place to live, while they put their lives in order. Some of the transitional housing will cost a certain percentage of household income. Throughout Louisiana are various forms of transitional homes, to help people in need.
