Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Missouri

Transitional housing is supportive and temporary housing for homeless individuals and families, working homeless, veterans, and often for refugees. When you stay at a transition home in Missouri, you are coming from some type of shelter. The shelter will refer you to a transition home that has room or space available. The length of time you and or your family will spend at a transition home could be a couple of weeks, or it could be up to a couple of years. The length of time needed does depend on how quickly you are able to find and afford new permanent housing. Most transitional housing programs are connected with affordable housing programs, and as long as there is affordable housing; a transition home can work. Transition homes in Missouri are often in areas where the demand is high, and where there will be affordable housing options. If you are struggling with homelessness and need a place to go as you find a way out of homelessness, a transition home can be a viable option.
