Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in North Dakota

When you are accessing transitional homes in North Dakota, you and or a family will be referred to one from the shelter you are staying at. There are numerous reasons why someone would utilize a transition home. Typically, it is because they are unable to afford permanent housing, and need a bridge between staying in a shelter, and going to a permanent address. Transitional housing cannot necessarily work unless it is connected to affordable housing projects. The length of time you need at a transitional home will be dependent upon you, and how you begin to rebuild your life. Someone can stay at a transitional home for as little as a few weeks, to upwards of a couple of years. Transitional homes in North Dakota are there for individuals and or families, such as those who are homeless, veterans, refugees, or working homeless. There are typically no waiting lists at a transitional home, but rather you are referred to one when space opens.
