Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Oklahoma

Any type of transitional home in Oklahoma will refer to a supportive and temporary housing solution. There are various types of people who would need access to transitional housing. For example, homeless individuals, veterans, working homeless, refugees, and homeless families. The purpose of a transitional home is to bridge the gap between shelter and finding permanent housing. The average person or family going into a transition home is coming from some type of shelter, such as an emergency shelter. Transitional homes will have you work with a caseworker, who will help you achieve your goals. There may be some transition homes that are publicly funded, and others that are operated by a religious organization, or a non-profit organization. The length of time you stay in a transitional home will be dependent upon you, and your ability to be able to have permanent housing. Some people stay in transitional homes in Oklahoma for a couple of weeks, whereas others may be there for a couple of years.
