Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Utah

A transition home is essentially a temporary supportive housing program, which does bridge the gap between living in a shelter and finding more permanent housing. When you are choosing to live at a transition home in Utah, you will be referred from the shelter, such as emergency shelter; you are living at. There are many different types of people who access transitional living homes, such as homeless individuals and families, teens and young adults, working homeless, veterans, and refugees. It is not uncommon for some of the transition homes in Utah to provide structure and support for people who are struggling with mental health or substance abuse problems. The purpose of any transition home is to help the individual or family find more permanent housing. The length of time you need to stay at a transition home in the state will be dependent upon how well you are doing at putting your life back together, with the help of the caseworker.
