Transitional Housing Programs for Drug & Alcohol Addiction in Washington

Transitional homes in Washington are structured and supportive environments, which provide temporary housing solutions for a variety of different people. The individuals who would access transition homes include homeless individuals and families, veterans, teens and young adults, refugees, and the working homeless. The purpose of a transition home is to help you find permanent housing. Typically, you are being referred to a transition home from a shelter, such as an emergency shelter in Washington. The transition home is a bridge between living in a shelter and being able to afford permanent housing. Many of the transition homes are often operated by religious groups and non-profit organizations. Some transition homes will be paid services, such as charging a particular percentage of the household income. The length of time you spend at a transition home will be dependent upon the steps you take to get yourself out of the situation you are in.
