There are many drug and alcohol treatment options in Hawaii, but a few of these drug treatment services can be covered by Tricare Insurance, which is a civilian-based health benefit plan for military personnel and retirees, along with their families. Treatment programs offer outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, along with residential services for addicts. Partial hospitalization services are also provided because some addicts may have a difficult time with their withdrawal process, and will require medical supervision and help. Drug and alcohol treatment is very important for members of the military as many of them come back from active duty and have a hard time transitioning back into society, and this can lead some to struggle with drug and alcohol addiction.
Military Insurance Coverage
Military health insurance plans are provided through the Military Health System and help covers those living in Hawaii who are active-duty service members or retired service members of the United States Military. Tricare is the civilian health insurance provider overseen by the Defense Health Agency, and Tricare health insurance plans can help pay for some types of drug and alcohol treatment in Hawaii. Active-duty service members and retired members can struggle with drug and alcohol addiction or some type of mental health problem, and it is important the right help is available for them. Across the state of Hawaii are many different types of drug and alcohol treatment services such as inpatient programs, outpatient treatment, detox, or hospital programs. Military health insurance can help pay for some of these different treatment options, ensuring active-duty service members and retired members can get the help they need.
