The state of Maryland offers many different drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and options for men and women struggling with addiction and substance abuse issues. Many of these programs are able to accept some form of insurance to help cover the costs of drug treatment. There are drug treatment centers in the state of Maryland that accept Tricare insurance, which is given to members of the United States Military and provides health benefits coverage.
Military Insurance Coverage
Military health insurance programs for active-duty service members and retirees in the state of Maryland are provided through the Military Health System. Within the Military Health System, there is Tricare, which is the civilian organization that provides health insurance and is operated by the Defense Health Agency. Active-duty service members and retirees of the United States Military that are covered and who may be struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction can use their health insurance to pay for the cost of treatment. Within the state of Maryland, there will be some drug and alcohol treatment programs that will accept Tricare health insurance. Battling substance abuse is difficult, and it may be tough for active-duty service members to ask for help if they are struggling with drug addiction. It is important that the right type of help is gotten, and if it is not; the problem may become worse.

TRICARE is for active-duty service members, National Guard, Reserve members, retirees, and certain former spouses worldwide. Usually, individuals and family members of the abovementioned groups are eligible for Tricare coverage.
