All throughout the state of California, there are several different drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers that can accept Tricare Insurance for military members, retirees, and their families. Throughout the United States Military, there are many members who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, which can cause them many problems if not handled right away. The programs located throughout the state of California that accepts Tricare offers a variety of different services, which include outpatient and residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation. There are also detox services available, which does include medical detox and partial hospitalization services for more severe cases of addiction. These services are very important in helping military members, and it has not been until recently that more drug treatment programs in the United States are now creating programs to specifically help United States Military personnel struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
Military Insurance Coverage
The Military Health System helps provide health insurance for active-duty service members and retirees, as well as their dependents living in California. The health insurance provided within the Military Health System is offered through Tricare, which is a civilian organization. Tricare health insurance plans can help pay for drug and alcohol treatment programs in California. Members of the United States Military and its retirees that are struggling with drug dependency, addiction, or a substance abuse disorder, may be covered for different types of drug treatment in California. Such coverage can potentially help with inpatient drug rehab, intensive outpatient services, detox, hospital inpatient, and treatment for opioid addiction. Throughout the state of California are hundreds of different drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and facilities. Substance Use Disorder Treatment with Tricare Health Insurance
Tricare West Region includes the state of California, among many other western states and Tricare health insurance plans for residents of California, cover a variety of different programs for substance use disorders. Emergency inpatient hospital services cover if you have a medical or psychiatric emergency and if immediate hospital admission is required. The patient will receive treatment at the closest available hospital. This can include treatment for a substance use disorder, for detoxification, stabilization, and treatment for any medical complications caused by the drug addiction. Intensive outpatient programs help people with substance abuse disorders who do not need to be in a hospital. The coverage helps those who need treatment for less severe addictions and are transitioning into other drug treatment programs.
Tricare health insurance plans can also cover the management of withdrawal symptoms such as detoxification and medication-assisted treatment, which is typically accessed by opioid addicts. Office-based opioid treatment in California also helps treat opioid addiction is covered by Tricare health insurance. Partial hospitalization programs are excellent resources for patients who require short-term hospital care because of their addiction. Tricare also covers residential substance use disorder treatment, but the plans do not cover aversion therapy or unproven treatment.
