There are a couple of drug and alcohol rehab centers in the state of Alabama that can accept this type of insurance. Both programs provide detox services along with medical detox, which can help treat more severe cases of addiction. Residential drug and alcohol rehab is provided, and this can be done on a long-term and short-term basis for addicts. Some rehabs offer holistic treatment options for addicts, and this can help heal a person physically and mentally. Drug and alcohol treatment is vitally important for service members, and the right help is available in the state.
Military Insurance Coverage
The Military Health System is part of the United States Department of Defense, and it provides health insurance coverage for active duty and retired U.S. military personnel in Alabama, as well as coverage for their dependents. Unfortunately, drug and alcohol addiction does impact people in the military, especially retirees, and it is important they are able to get the help they need. The Military Health System can help pay certain types of drug and alcohol treatment such as inpatient services, intensive outpatient, detox; medication-assisted treatment, help for opioid addictions, and hospitalization programs. It is important for any active duty or retired service member in Alabama to clarify with the Military Health System about what treatments will be covered under their health insurance. Battling any type of drug addiction is difficult, and some of the drug and alcohol treatment programs in the state of Alabama will work with Tricare, which is who provides health insurance coverage within the Military Health System.
