Yolo County is located in the northern portion of the state, and the city of Woodland is the county seat. Yolo County is part of the Greater Sacramento metropolitan area and is located in the Sacramento Valley. Most of the county is a rural agricultural region containing most of the California tomato industry. According to the Yolo County 2019 Fact Sheet, over 4,300 residents did not have access to treatment in 2019. The county has been working to implement new health plans for prescriber outreach, along with adding medication-assisted treatment in health centers, jails, emergency departments, hospitals, and existing addiction treatment programs.
