Bi-Bett Addiction Treatment – Wollam

Updated on: 4 February 2026

About this center

Bi-Bett Addiction Treatment is a long-standing nonprofit provider of substance use recovery services in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering a full continuum of care that includes medically supported detoxification, structured residential treatment, and specialized perinatal residential support for women and mothers with young children. The Wollam Women’s Recovery Center, part of the Bi-Bett network, is designed to help adult women whose alcohol or drug use has significantly impacted their wellbeing, daily responsibilities, family roles, or relationships. It provides immersive care that blends recovery work with routine and community life rather than short, isolated clinical episodes.

Structured Residential Program in a Supportive Environment

At Wollam Women’s Recovery Center, women enter a live-in residential treatment program where they participate in daily recovery-focused activities, group and individual counseling, coping skills training, relapse prevention planning, life-skills development, and peer support in a supervised setting. This residential care typically ranges from about 30 to 90 days depending on individual needs and progress.

Safe, Medically Supervised Detoxification to Begin Recovery

Complementing the residential track, Bi-Bett’s detoxification/withdrawal management program provides a 24-hour medically monitored detox environment where women can safely address physical withdrawal symptoms as the first step toward deeper recovery work. Staff support and monitoring help stabilize participants before they transition into the longer-term residential phase.

Specialized Perinatal Support for Mothers and Children

An important feature of the Wollam program is its perinatal residential care, which is tailored for pregnant and postpartum women and their children (typically up to age 5). This specialized track integrates recovery work with maternal support, parenting guidance, and family-focused services, helping women build healthier routines and strengthen family bonds while addressing substance use challenges.

An Immersive Path Toward Long-Term Recovery

Rather than brief stabilization, this residential setting anchors recovery work within daily community life, structured routine, and accountability. By combining detox, residential therapy, and perinatal care, Bi-Bett’s Wollam center offers women a comprehensive environment to begin meaningful change, develop coping strategies and life-skills, and move toward long-term stability beyond the program’s walls.
