Colonial House Inc. – Inpatient Male Facility

The Residential Program at Colonial House Inc. offers structured recovery and treatment services to individuals with substance abuse and dependency disorders. This program uses 12 step services to offer structured support services. It uses personal educational sessions in the form of lectures, films, and assignments to make the client aware of their recovery treatment. They use relapse prevention training to teach the client healthier coping mechanisms through evidence-based practices. Clients are offered Family education workshops to help them deal with family issues, anger, addiction, relapse process, codependency, and many other issues. Individual counselling and group counselling is also used by the program to offer interpersonal therapy in a secure setting. This facility also offers spirituality sessions to the client during their group sessions. Life skill training is also included in the inpatient rehabilitation; it addresses topics such as social skills, stress management, research jobs, health & wellness, coping skills, self-esteem, and anger management. This program also offers work therapy sessions to the clients through various work projects; it promotes teamwork and interpersonal skills. Family participation is also encouraged in the clients through the family support and involvement session, which allows the client to meet their loved ones in therapy to offer support.
