Mended and Whole Counseling, LLC

About this center

Mended and Whole Counseling is a faith-based outpatient counseling practice in Prescott, Arizona, specializing in addiction therapy and trauma treatment for teenagers, adults, and seniors. The practice is operated by Kimberly Langford, LPC, AADC, and Tyler Langford, LPC, a husband-and-wife clinical team with deep roots in the Prescott community and combined backgrounds in addiction counseling, trauma therapy, and ministry.

Addiction Therapy Grounded in Attachment Theory and Faith Integration

Kimberly’s approach to addiction treatment is rooted in attachment theory, the understanding that the patterns formed in early relationships shape how individuals relate to the world and, often, how they come to depend on substances to manage what those patterns make difficult. Treating addiction means addressing those underlying attachment wounds alongside the substance use itself. Christian faith-based integration is offered upon request and consent, reflecting the practice’s Christ-centered, Biblically integrated philosophy that honors both the spiritual dimensions of healing and the empirical foundations of clinical counseling.

An Advanced Clinical Toolkit for Trauma and Addiction

Kimberly holds a doctoral degree in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology and is an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), credentials that reflect the depth of clinical training she brings to addiction and trauma work. Her primary therapeutic modalities include EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, CBT, and DBT, applied in combination based on each client’s specific history and presentation. Her ongoing pursuit of further training in neuroscience, somatic experiencing, and forward-facing trauma therapy keeps the practice current with emerging evidence in the field.

Tyler Langford’s Recovery-Informed and Relational Approach

Tyler brings a distinct background to the practice, years working in the recovery community with drug and alcohol addiction prior to completing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, combined with a foundation in Biblical Studies and full-time church ministry. His clinical focus includes addiction, co-occurring disorders, bipolar and borderline personality disorders, anger management, family therapy, and trauma-based treatments. Tyler also offers walk-and-talk therapy, taking clients out of the traditional office setting and into nature, providing an approach that many clients find lowers their defenses and makes authentic self-exploration more accessible.

Faith-Integrated Addiction and Trauma Counseling for Prescott-Area Clients

For teenagers, adults, and seniors in Prescott seeking addiction therapy and trauma treatment from clinicians who integrate clinical expertise with a Christ-centered perspective, Mended and Whole Counseling offers an individualized, relationship-driven practice built on genuine investment in each client’s healing.
