Drug and alcohol addiction is something that can happen to anyone. In the state of Ohio are adults with kids who are addicted to drugs or alcohol. When children grow up in a house with drug-addicted parents, they are more likely to abuse drugs themselves. Substance abuse becomes progressively worse the longer it goes without treatment. Some of the drug treatment centers in Ohio provide some type of accommodation for drug-addicted parents. In fact, in some states, children are required to attend treatment with their parents. This is because of the family therapy process to help educate the parents and build a stronger bond. Most treatment centers will make an effort to reach out to the extended family for help. Some inpatient or outpatient drug rehab centers will have daycare services. There are also inpatient centers that may have residential beds for client’s children. These are safe places for kids to stay while their parents go through rehabilitation.
